Story

I have been part of Peterlee and Horden rugby club for as long as I can remember. Each year I've seen them grow in numbers and strength and I'm extremely proud to wear their kit.

I have seen the hard work and effort that the coaches and volunteers put into training sessions, game days and social events for us kids. I want to give back to the mini and junior section that has given so much to me. I will spend the next 10 months, throughout our preseason training and our 24/25 rugby season, raising money for my club to ensure it's continued growth and development for years to come.

Additionally I have had the opportunity to take part in events run by Newcastle Falcons Foundation. I have attended camps and will attend my very first residential with them this month. My younger sister attends Little Falcons sessions and we both had the opportunity to be mascot last season. I value the work the Falcons do within the community to aid with the growth of the game at a junior level. The commitment to ensure an ongoing love of rugby across current and future generations, from all walks of life is important. The work they do with regards to inclusion is particularly close to my heart, as I am autistic, and have never once felt like I didn't belong in this sport.

All volunteers/staff across both causes are dedicated and I'd like to show my thanks.

Events/challenges I plan will be updated here and on my Facebook page. I hope you follow my journey and share in my passion.

My 1st challenge: 20th July - 24hr silence!
