Story

In May 2022 Fletch and his family were ready to start their new chapter in Australia. House packed up, belongings sold and plane tickets booked. 3 weeks before their departure their son Fletcher developed a lump in his neck.

At just 7 years old, from what at first was thought to be a swollen lymph node Fletch has been diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma. A rare and aggressive cancer.

Diagnosed only 10 weeks ago, multiple trips to Bristol, Cardiff and the RD&E, Fletch has already had to endure a 15 hour operation to save his eyesight along with numerous MRIs, CT scans, PET scans, chemotherapy, blood transfusions and more recenlty a peg inserted to feed him following radiotherapy.

There is nothing I can do from a medical point of view but what I can do as a friend is support Fletch and his family through this extremely difficult time. For this reason I am reaching out for help to raise money for costs towards accommodation closer to treatment hospitals, fuel costs and any little treats to help Fletch between treatments.

Fletch is currently on an 18 month treatment regime which involves 9 full chemotherapy sessions and radiotherapy. We remain positive that Fletch will beat this Cancer and are grateful for all support and donations received.
