Help us fix the playground

Sadly our Children's Playground has had to be closed following our most recent safety inspection. Several defects caused by wear and tear as well as poor installation by the original contractor have meant that it is unsafe for us to allow children to use the facilities until we can get these repaired. These facilities, despite their flaws are much loved by the community children and its wonderful to see our little ones playing and enjoying the outdoors.

The Hall, Playing Fields, Sports Areas and Playgrounds are owned and operated by the Flitch Green Charitable Trust, and NOT by the Parish or Local Council.

As a non-profit charity we rely on our fundraising events like the outdoor cinema to raise any funds above and beyond paying for the day to day running costs. The additional funds we had managed to accrue from our fundraising last year have all but gone on repairing vandalism and improving outdoor lighting in order to deter further damage.

We are reaching out to the local community and everyone that uses or has used the park facilities to help us achieve our target and get the park back open as soon as possible. The bill to rectify the faults is a whopping £4000!

As a Trust we can afford to contribute 50% of the cost without it affecting the operation of the hall, but unfortunately we cannot afford to pay the entire bill ourselves. Please consider making a donation to this cause in order to bring the park up to a safe standard and it be reopened for our children to play.

The quicker we can raise the funds, the quicker we can reopen the park.
