In the summer of 2019 I will be going on an expedition to Zambia, Namibia and Botswana. In Zambia we will build houses for an orphanage. I will be staying in the village where we are building and will be immersed in local life. The Zambian government does not provide support for an orphanage until it is well established, so the cost of the construction, setting it up and the first staff salaries has to be funded and supported by the community. This is why it is so valuable for us to help with construction. In order for me to raise the money for this part of my expedition, my friend Georgie and I are going walk 100 miles in 4 days along the Peddars way and Norfolk coast path in England, and this will be taking place in the summer of 2018.
