Florence Arts Centre is a hub for learning, art, craft, music and entertainment in West Cumbria. Situated at the disused Florence Iron Ore Mine in Egremont Florence is unique.

In our unassuming converted miners' shower block you will find a space for exhibitions, artists' residencies, live music, cinema, theatre and performance; workshops in everything from felting to film-making, watercolours to willow weaving; a paintmaking studio using locally-sourced natural pigments, including our own iron ore; artists' studios; a community garden and more - all under one roof. Over the past two years we have worked directly with over 20 local schools, colleges and community organisations and charities. We support local artists giving them a space to work and exhibit. We support local musicians programming gigs on a regular basis and hosting monthly Open Mic, Jazz Jam and Songwriters' Showcases. We support local businesses selling products in our shop, bars and café, and we support our community giving unparallelled access to the arts in all its forms
