Hi, I'm David those of you who know me and for those who don't Florida is a place that is very close to my heart. Its a place I have visited many times, a place I have made good friends and a place where I now have family living. I am sure that almost everyone will know about devastating hurricane Irma which hit many Caribbean islands bringing carnage in its wake. Irma also hit Florida and hit hard, many people have lost their homes and belongings due to this dreadful event. Here in England we are extremely lucky we don't get anywhere near these conditions and most of us only see the devastation via newspapers or on our TV screens. Well I would like to do my bit to help, all funds raised wi got to helping elderly and vulnerable people repair their homes. Thousands of homes were damaged due to the sheer force of Irma and many are left with no way of undertaking and/or paying for minor repairs to make their homes habitable once again. So here I go, I am starting off here and the money I raise I will take to Florida and spend on helping these people and hopefully bring a smile to someones face, I hope to help as many people as I can but it all depends just on how much funds we can raise. Like I said my aim is to help the elderly and vulnerable so if you can spare a few pounds then please help. I will set up a Facebook page so if we manage to pull this off you can follow my journey and see the people I help.
