Story

Meet Flossy, she was brought in to us at Halfway Home Dog Rescue in December, she'd been left outside to freeze. She was 5 months old. Thankfully the "owner" handed her over to a good samaritan who brought her to us. Due to there being kennel cough at the rescue I brought her home as a foster puppy (she'd had no vaccines but I knew straight away something was wrong. A trip to the vet the following morning confirmed she had pneumonia and anorexia, she was really poorly. Fast forward a month, and Flossy is now a healthy weight and her pneumonia has gone but she has an undiagnoser problem with her throat which causes irritation and sometimes vomiting. It could be lung scarring from untreated pneumonia (we dont know how long shed been outside in a pen) or damage to her throat from constant vomiting due to an allergy to dog biscuit that I discovered. Her vet bills have already been large and she now needs further investigations to find out what is wrong with her throat and as we all know this comes at a cost.
Flossy is not a 1 off, we come across so many cases like hers and worse and at Halfway Home Dog Rescue we rely solely on donations to keep going so I am appealing to all of you to make a small donation and help me raise the funds to help get Flossy the treatment she needs and truly put her shaky start behind her and for us to continue to help as many other dogs as we possibly can. We cover the vet bills at the rescue through fundraising so I am appealing for your help. I want to raise a minimum of £1000. Will you help me?
