Around the world, Christians are under threat as never before. Discrimination, injustice, assault, kidnap, forced conversion, torture and death are realities for millions of Christians around the world today, especially in Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Sudan and Nigeria – and the situation is getting worse. As church planters, we are proposing to build a pentecostal church in the northeast of Punjab province in Pakistan. This church will provide a safe haven for prayer and worship. People are spiritually hungry for God's word!

The colony consists on majority of poor Christian families (approx 10,000 families) and there is large Christian population in the surrounding neighbourhoods also. The outskirts are mainly remote villages where its difficult for individuals to travel weekly to attend the church. This church will be planted at a central point where travelling by foot for weekly fellowship would be feasible.

The church is vital for those people because the more time they spend together in His presence, the more like Jesus they become, the more they'll GROW spiritually. That’s why the writer of Hebrews encourged Christians at that time not to give up meeting together. If we want to hold unswervingly to our faith, we need to surround ourselves with people who will encourage us to follow Jesus even when it’s hard, to have faith when everything seems hopeless, and to rely on Jesus even when we think we can do everything on our own (Hebrews 10:23-25).
