Story
October 16th marks the worldwide "Restart a Heart Day" 2020. Here at Knights Farm, we thought this would be the ideal time to raise awareness of this invaluable initiative and to also launch our own fundraiser, with a view to purchasing a defibrillator for our rural community and it's visitors.
Whilst the Hamlet of Fluxton is home to around 100 residents, we see walkers, cyclists, holiday makers and shop visitors all add to the footfall of our community. Having a defibrillator at hand, could provide life saving options to someone in need and in reality, this could well be someone you know and care for, be that a family member, friend or neighbour..
In conjunction with London Hearts (Registered Charity 118901), we have set ourselves the grand fundraising target of £1400! This will cover the dual functioning iPad defibrillator and a fully weatherproof, heated and secure housing unit. London Hearts have very kindly given us a grant of £325.00, which we have put towards the cost of the kit. Our target figure includes this discount. London Hearts have also pledged to organise FREE CPR and Defibrillator Awareness Training for those who wish to attend (up to 50 persons), post Covid, which is hugely valuable. In the meantime we will be able to circulate a Defib Video Guide supplied by the Charity. Huge thanks go to London Hearts, for their help.

We have just one year! We know it is a substantial amount, but we also know that ours is a close and caring community. Thank you for your interest in our fundraising appeal, and for any donation that you are kindly able to contribute. Every penny counts.
