Story

This is Thea. She is approximately 6 months old and we met her whilst we were on holiday in Greece. We found her crying on our balcony one morning, she was absolutely ravenous.

We very soon realised that Thea not only craved food but love and attention too, even if she was a little nervous at first. Thea stole our hearts and after getting to know her for most of the holiday, the thought of leaving her behind was heartbreaking. Thea even stayed in our room one night when there was a thunderstorm and slept curled in a ball on our bed.

We researched the plight of little kittens such as Thea and we were shocked and horrified to find out that when the tourists have left, they are forced to fend for themselves and are often poisoned by local residents who find them a nuisance.

There is hope for Thea though. We loved her so much we decided to do something about it and she is currently with a vet in Greece where she will go through the process of being made ready to come to the UK. However, this is an incredibly expensive and lengthy process. She will need to have vaccinations, blood tests, a microchip as well as the cost of boarding after her procedures and before she can fly.

We hope to raise some money to make it easier to give Thea a new start in life. The cost of flying Thea home is extortionately inflated as airlines are known to exploit animal lovers when it comes to transporting them.

Any money very generously donated will go to help pay for Thea's flight back to England to start a new life with us. We are covering all the vet and boarding bills.

We look forward to giving Thea a second chance of happiness in life, one filled with love and a full tummy.

We can not thank you enough in advance for any donation no matter how big or small you are willing to give.

Thank you.

Sophie, Ben and Thea.
