Story
On 21 November 2025, firefighters from the London Luton Airport Fire Service will take on a powerful challenge. In partnership with the men’s mental health community interest company ‘For Men To Talk’, they will walk 14 miles around the airport while wearing full Breathing Apparatus.
The 14 miles represent the 14 men who die by suicide every day in the UK. The heavy breathing apparatus represents the weight that many men carry in silence when they are struggling with their mental health.
This event aims to spark conversations, raise awareness, and encourage men everywhere to reach out and talk before their silent burden becomes overwhelming.
