Our Mission in Ramadan, 2019

Al Manahil Welfare Foundation Bangladesh is going to distribute Ramadan food packet under Ramadan Food Program, 2019.

In 2018, Al Manahil has completed most successfully Ramadan campaign in the rohingya refugee camp of Bangladesh. Alhamdulillah, that time we managed to distribute 5,000 food packs in the refugee camp among the needy families.

This time we are targeting bigger. People who are struggling to get their daily meals to sustain their lives and wellbeing, we are trying to accumulate some fund to create the crescent of smile on their face.

We will try our level best to feed 120,000 Rohingya refugees in the month of Ramadan. In sha Allah, we will continue targeting the most vulnerable groups and destitute people to ease their life. Our aim is to make the program as efficient and cost effective as possible so that the beneficiaries get the maximum benefit from it.

Beneficiaries

This year a wide range of beneficiaries were selected, they included categories like widows, orphans, destitute, aged, disabled etc. The beneficiaries are selected in conjunction with survey. Average family size is 4. Each food pack is sufficient enough for one family.

Proposed Outputs

1. A total of 30,000 distressed and Vulnerable families and dependents be will be directly benefited of the Ramadan Kit distribution program, in sha allah.

2. Ramadan Kits will be given to thousands of poor families in order to make sure that the weaker section of the society could join others in Eid celebrations.

3. Muslim community will be more aware of discharging their duties and have increased opportunity to do so in relation to Ramadan program.

4. Increased opportunities for Muslim community to support the socially excluded communities.

5. To share the happiness of the arrival of the fasting, Eid-ul-Fitr and its blessings with the needy.

Why do rohingya refugees need Food parcel during the month of Ramadan?

We have analyzed the situation in the refugee camp from various perspectives. The most pathetic situation is most of the Islamic NGOs are not that much active in Bangladesh. A few are working here, but it’s not enough. As a result, a large number of population among the refugees will be deprived of necessary foods during the month of Ramadan. It is notable that, in Bangladesh they are not allowed to work and earn money. That’s why they can’t purchase their favorite foods and equipment most of the time.

As Ramadan is a month of showing our compassion and solidarity to our brothers, it would be wonderful if they get their favorite foods as well as necessary kits during the month of Ramadan. It will bring a glimpse of happiness in their distressful life. This is the best thing we can do for our brothers and sisters in the month of Ramadan.
