A close friend of ours has recently had her young daughter admitted suddenly to a hospital in London after cancer has been detected in her blood. She has been diagnosed with Burkitt Leukemia and has started treatment. She will remain in hospital until she is well enough to go home, however, the whole family must remain sheltered for 6 months whilst she continues to receive treatment meaning they are unable to go to work. Both our friend and her partner work full time and do an amazing job at bringing up their three young children. Along with many other families, they have had to cancel holidays and other plans due to the Corona Virus, as well as sleepless nights due to having two babies at home and now they are juggling all of this along with hospital visits and stays. We know money will be the least of their worries currently and they have so much love and support around them from friends and family, however, as we can’t all see one another at this difficult time and so practical support is limited, we wanted to give them something to help with travel costs, anything they need for the children and themselves, or to even put towards something they can look forward to after this nightmare is over for them all.
