A story about a chap named Derick...

After finding sone items we no longer needed I put them on a Facebook site for free & aswell as having people ask for everything that was free & even asked if we had anymore 'free' items I got a message from a chap called Derick who only asked for 1 item.

So Derick came round, he was shocked the item was free & asked if we wanted any money for it, of course we declined.

We got talking and his story really touched my heart........him and his wife retired to Spain where they lived very happily for 14 years. Nearing the end of the 14 years his wife needed to have surgery on her foot & then rest for a good couple of months afterwards. Within these couple of months Derick took a turn for the worse & was hospitalised, sunddenly everything was going wrong. The hospital braced Dericks wife for the worse, they didn't think he would make it through the night. For Dericks health to remarkable improve he needed a certain type of medication, which the hospital could or wouldn't provide him......his only choice was to move back to the UK for treatment.

Once back in the UK they had to find a house to rent, his wife needed further surgery, Derick needed more medication & they needed to start again......buy EVERYTHING from beds to cultery.

The doctors won't let Detick fly due to his health, he needs to get back to sort out everything in his home in Spain so he can sell his home to help pay for his rent in the UK.

With the bills mounting up, getting into debt every month just to get by, it really struck a cord with me and especially at their age, no one should be renting using what little pension they have and still getting into debt!!

I would like to try & raise this money to make their lives a little easier, not to worry about going into the red every month. Derick is such a lovely chap & deserves to live out his older years in peace.....❤
