Story
Eli is nearly 2 years old. He was born with cystic fibrosis which is a life limiting condition that produces sticky secretions in the body. These secretions can be especially problematic if they build up in the lungs as bacteria can get trapped and make him very unwell. Treatment for this condition is intense and time consuming with him already being on multiple medications and twice daily physiotherapy to keep him as well as possible. We are fundraising for what we feel is a vital piece of medical equipment which could help keep his lungs clear from this sticky mucus. Currently there is no cure for cystic fibrosis but we are hopeful that there are new medications on the horizon which may prolong his life. We want to do all we can to keep Eli well so he may benefit as much as possible from these new treatments. As part of this fundraising I will be completing an ultramarathon in July which involves completing 100k (62 miles) of the Jurassic Coast in a time limit of 32 hours.
