£1,292raised of £6,000 target by 48 supporters

Weʼre raising £6,000 to Fundraise for Eli who has cystic fibrosis. Funds will purchase important medical equipment to help with his daily physiotherapy.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Eli is nearly 2 years old. He was born with cystic fibrosis which is a life limiting condition that produces sticky secretions in the body. These secretions can be especially problematic if they build up in the lungs as bacteria can get trapped and make him very unwell. Treatment for this condition is intense and time consuming with him already being on multiple medications and twice daily physiotherapy to keep him as well as possible. We are fundraising for what we feel is a vital piece of medical equipment which could help keep his lungs clear from this sticky mucus. Currently there is no cure for cystic fibrosis but we are hopeful that there are new medications on the horizon which may prolong his life. We want to do all we can to keep Eli well so he may benefit as much as possible from these new treatments. As part of this fundraising I will be completing an ultramarathon in July which involves completing 100k (62 miles) of the Jurassic Coast in a time limit of 32 hours.

WE DID IT! We completed 100K, up and down hills, scrambling up sheer ascents and down steep descents in the dark with head torches, passing people dropping out and in tears on the way. I am so proud we finished, I feel as if we have really earnt this sponsorship money. Huge thanks to Sheila for completing this crazy challenge with me, I honestly don't think I would have finished without you. Huge thanks also to everyone who has donated money for my son to give him access to the best possible treatment for his condition, thank you all x

Well, the last training session walking 70k over 2 days is now complete. I can't believe how far we've come in the training. Having never attempted anything like this in our lives I'm so impressed with how we've got on so far. Looking forward to this weekends' challenge with a mixture of excitement and nerves. To the people who have donated so far, Thank You so much x
