Story

Hi everyone!

As you may be aware, on Saturday 21st April at around 3am, our original 1987 Ford Transit Frisky Campervan was stolen from outside our home. After 48 hours of anger, hope and confusion, our perfect camper was put out by the fire brigade by Abberton Reservoir and the damage is irreversible.

Unfortunately, a couple of men (who haven't yet been caught) decided to steal our van in the early hours of Saturday morning after attempting to rob another van on North Station Road, Colchester (all caught on CCTV). The following night, they used our van as transport for an (attempted) burglary in a couple of units on Davey Close, Colchester (also all caught on CCTV). Despite how unsuccessful their burglary was, the little f*cks decided to torch our van and ruin my parents summer.

Understandably, this has broken all of our hearts, especially my dads as this camper was his pride and joy. We all feel so angry that these people can just get away with taking and destroying the belongings that we have worked hard throughout our lives to own. My parents don't enjoy flying, so their holidays away in their camper were their chance to get away - and now that has been taken away from them. As said by Terry;

'its not rock and roll but its our rock and roll'.

After talking with the insurance, dad doesn't feel anywhere near confident that he is gonna receive a pay out anywhere close to the worth of our van. If anybody has the ability to contribute towards the cost a replacement campervan for my parents it would be extremely appreciated! If not - please do share as I feel this should encourage people to set up additional security within their own campervans/cars/bikes/etc to ensure this doesn't happen to them and no one else gets away with doing this. I really don't want my parents trust, freedom and their holidays ruined by these selfish, robbing bas**rds!

Thank you for reading, sharing and donating!
