Story

Please donate to repair our local Forestdale Arms from mini-Tornado on Sunday 23rd October. The pub is a community centre and meeting point for customers to relax and enjoy after a hard day's work.

“It only lasted three or four minutes if that, it came in and left quickly but anything in its path was just complete destruction. Fortunately nobody was hurt, which is amazing as soon as it started happening people rushed into the pub. It was lucky they did, one of the concrete slabs flew and hit the window, that was the intensity of the wind.”
When asked if this was something he ever expected to happen when owning a pub, Nalind responded simply: “Bloody hell no”. He says he doesn’t know how much it will cost to repair the damage, but it is an unhelpful extra bit of added cost and hassle for the business owner when times are already tough.
