I'm raising £1000 to enable Forever Held to offer bereaved families a lasting, tangible memory after baby and infant loss.

Story

We are founding Forever Held in memory of our son, Alfie.

Alfie was only with us for 13 days. Thirteen days of loving him, memorising him and holding his tiny hands and feet. When he died, our world stopped. In the midst of our loss, one of the most precious things we were given was 3D castings of Alfie’s hands and feet — the only physical part of our son we have left to hold. When everything else feels distant or unreal, they bring him back to us. Proof that he was here and proof that he mattered.

In Alfie’s memory, we are starting Forever Held, a not-for-profit created to help more families across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. For many parents, hand and foot castings will be the only tangible connection they ever have to their child — something to hold in the quiet moments when the world has moved on, but their love hasn’t.

We’re raising £1,000 to cover the costs of the materials and training needed to provide these castings to families at no cost, with dignity, gentleness and care.

Your support will help ensure fewer families have to say goodbye without something real to hold onto.

Thank you so much for reading,

Lottie & James 💙
