We are a Community of local Leeds Mums that are trying to raise some money for a family that have impacted many of our lives.

Lesley is a Childminder - but she was so much more than that. She was an extension to our families and loved our children as if they were her own. Her house is like the Garforth House of Fun. The children didn't want to leave!

Unfortunately Lesley became ill on Monday this week with what she thought was a virus. She went to the hospital several times before being admitted at the end of the week where it was identified that she had Septicemia. She passed away on Saturday. Her commitment to our children meant she kept coming home from Hospital to be around to care for them.

Lesley leaves behind a big family including a 6 year old little girl and a Husband she adored. Her house was a home all about Family. Her Husband has recently had an operation and was spending time at home helping Lesley look after all our Children.

We told my 3 year old son she has gone to the moon. He asks constantly if we can call Lesley on the moon, can we go to the moon to see her, can he look at the moon out of the window. We sent up a heart shaped Chinese Lantern to her. He asks if she is snuggling it in bed on the moon. This is the impact she had on the children she cared for.

Many of us feel we owe Lesley. She cared for our children and we should do our best to help and care for hers. The last thing she would want is for her family to be split up. We also want them to have the time to grieve. We want them to have time together to heal and for the 6 year old in particular to have a Daddy who is around and not having to find work that takes time away from her.

We are asking for Garforth, Leeds and anyone who has a family to club together and donate all you can afford to help a family in pain. Lesley was the heart of the family. They need us to show them that we care. This money will help them pay bills, spend time together and heal. Please help!
