Saint Helena is one of the world’s most isolated islands in the middle of the South Atlantic. It is a British Colony and has a population of roughly 4000 people. I started researching the island extensively, to use in a script, and got to know both the place and the people, both of which are now very close to my heart!

Unfortunately, during this process I learned of the Jamestown playground, closing in 2010 and due to a lack of funding, it has not been reopened.

The organisation Creative Saint Helena, are currently putting plans in motion to reopen the playground (building work and safety checks in progress) but they only have half the amount needed to complete the project.

As some of you may know, I am currently attempting a cycle from Cairo to Cape Town. I would welcome donations (100% of which will go to Creative Saint Helena) and none towards my trip) to raise the remainder of the funds towards the reopening of the playground.
