Story
On Monday 16th July Stainsby Gymnastics club suffered devastating flooding in a torrential summer storm with major damage to the roof of the gym and extensive water damage to our specialist track and floor. For the safety of the gymnasts the gym has been temporarily closed and the roof is in desperate need of repair. We are seeking any help you might be able to offer towards these urgent repairs.
Stainsby is home to around 400 gymnasts aged 3 and upwards offering coaching in Sports Acro and Tumbling and in recent years has produced a number of National Champions with 2 Gold Medallists this year alone. Additionally some of our tumblers have been selected to compete at forthcoming English Championships, they should be in full preparation for this prestigious event but while the gym is closed they are missing vital training hours. All of our competitive gymnasts and the coaches work incredibly hard to achieve this level of competition and are bitterly disappointed by this closure. Our Recreation classes and Toddler groups are also currently cancelled until the roof can be repaired, this means hundreds of children missing their favourite sport and healthy activity, especially over the school holidays.
The gym is also home to the Allstars Cheerleading Academy which has also been forced to suspend classes.
The club is a not for profit organisation and will have to find the funds to fix the roof, please help if you can.
Thank you
