We’re taking on “The Big Step-Up” sponsored walk to raise money for a new charity called Foundation for Living (charitable status registration pending). Their aim is to support care leavers across Kirklees by providing essential furniture and household items. Leaving care can be overwhelming and many young people are moved into empty properties with limited financial support.

On 20 June 2026, we’ll be walking from Harpers Interiors, Shepley to the Civic Centre, Huddersfield and back — a total of 14 miles — to help create safe, welcoming homes and brighter futures for young people leaving care.

Every donation, big or small, will help Foundation for Living continue their incredible work supporting vulnerable young people as they move towards independence. Your support can help provide stability, encouragement, and opportunities for those who need it most.
