Im Rachael and I am the PTA chair of Fantastic Fox Wood PTA. I also volunteer at the school and try to help as much as I can in any which way as we have the most amazing pupils and staff and they deserve it!
Fox Wood is a school for children aged 4-19 years with Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and other disabilities including Autism (ASD), Hearing Impairment and Visual Impairments.
At Fox Wood we give our children every possible means to achieve their potential.

40% of our pupils are in wheelchairs, including my son and we feel they should have the same experiences as their peers and be able to have a fully wheelchair accessible playground complete with wheelchair swing, roundabout, wheelchair trampoline, audio bells, sensory tunnel and much more! Due to it being specialist equipment it comes at a huge cost and one of which no school budget could ever stretch to.

We will be applying for several grants to try and get near target but we also need to fundraise in many ways to reach the £100k goal!

I am kickstarting by trying to get as many sponsors as possible before end of August 2024 when I will be having a permanent tattoo of the school logo on my upper arm! Yes I may be crazy but I'm also crazy passionate about them kids and of course it's a cause close to my heart for my Alfie 🥰
