Story
I have decided to take on a cycling challenge to not only improve my fitness and show my 2 children what focus and dedication can do, but also keep the ball rolling on an extensive project currently ongoing to build a new pre school for the children of Sutton St James and the surrounding area.
The current portakabin has been on site for many years and is getting to the point where temporary fixes can only do so much. It is the hope that a new brick building will not only make the setting safer for the children but also enhance their learning in such a critical part of their development.
The only way this small yet vital resource can achieve their goal is by local fundraising efforts.
The way I have decided to test myself is to link the challenge to one of my hobbies - FPL.
So for every point I score this season in FPL, I will cycle the equivalent 1 mile (for reference I scored 2430 points last season), I will be completing the challenge over the length of the 22/23 season.
I‘m looking forward to documenting the journey thoughout the season and will look to chuck in some additional challenges to test myself even further. The challenge will be completed on a stationary exercise bike so I can literally rack up the kilometres as my FPL team racks up the points.
Thank you for taking the time to read the details surrounding the challenge and thank you in advance for both following my journey and especially if you choose to donate
