Wake Up!

Simon Peter is Cycling with a mission to wake people up to the cost of human consumption and environmental matters such as energy usage, the tainting of precious water supplies and the spoilage of our beautiful planet.

Simon has been an environmental activist for many years, promoting recycling and clean energy living and has decided to take it to the next level with a pilgrimage from Santiago La Ribera (Near Murcia), Spain all the way to the Preston New Road Fracking Site in Lancashire England.... He takes his wake up call on the road, raising awareness and hopes as he goes!

At the time of writing, Simon is currently on day 19 and the blessed people that he meets help him along on his journey with beautiful gifts of help and kindness. He has suffered many a puncture and been held up by his trailer (containing his message and few worldly possessions) being broken!...

This page has been set up by some of the many of his followers so that people might help him in other ways: As he continues north the weather is going to get colder. Funds raised will be to help with the maintenance of his bike and trailer, food/hostels and warmer clothes. Any surplus will go towards environmental projects that he is working so hard to raise awareness of.
