Story
Hopefully, you will never have to be in the position of having to see your child, or any child you know or care about, in hospital. For some of us, it will be inevitable.
It is beyond words, the feeling of seeing your reason for living being in discomfort and pain. The children themselves, also do not like it as it is outside their routine and so this just adds to painful experience of a child being hospitalised.
We want to try to purchase new toys for this childrens' ward so that their experience can be a little bit more, if not enjoyable, at least tolerable. This, we hope, will reduce the stress felt by the children which, in turn, will go some way to helping the parents.
Myself, Sean Kirby, Kirk Knight and Callum Tydeman, in partnership with Frames Snooker Hall, Northdown Road, Margate, will be playing 8-ball pool for 24 hours with no breaks in order to raise these much needed funds.
