Story
In the summer of 2018 a delegation of volunteers from Newcastle will visit a remote, rural community in Laini Saba near Nairobi.
The Main aims of the project are:
• To help renovate a rural primary school and teach maths and English to the pupils.
• We will teach in very rural schools in the African bush and visit the local communities. The school we will work with is in Kibera, the second largest slum in the world.
• We will meet women and children who have been victims of forced marriages and FGM
• Live among the local Masai Mara tribe and experience firsthand life in a rural African community
The money raised will help to fund the cost of the trip as well as supporting the communities and schools that we will visit in Kenya.
Thank you
