Hi everyone,

Our wonderful friend recently welcomed a beautiful baby just 9 weeks ago. This should be a time filled with joy, rest, and precious moments of bonding during maternity leave. Instead, she is now facing the unimaginable challenge of a cancer diagnosis. While she pours her love and energy into caring for her newborn, she’s also beginning the fight of her life.

Cancer treatment brings not only emotional and physical hurdles but also a heavy financial burden. Between medical bills, travel to appointments, and the extra costs of caring for her little one, the expenses add up quickly — especially while she’s unable to work. Jade is reluctant to accept further financial support so I plan to donate this money to her and if she so wishes she can donate it to her chosen charity- some of which are already providing invaluable support to Jade and her family.

To show her just how loved she is, we’re coming together as a community and organizing a fundraising walk in her honor. This walk is more than just an event — it’s a way for all of us to take steps alongside her, reminding her she’s not facing this journey alone. Every donation — whether through this page or in support of the walk — will go directly toward easing the financial strain of treatment and daily needs, so she can spend her energy where it matters most: healing and being with her baby.

If you aren’t able to give financially, please know that sharing this fundraiser, joining us for the walk, or simply sending your love, encouragement, and prayers mean just as much. She has always been there for others — now it’s our turn to rally around her. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting this brave mother and her little one during this difficult time. 👟Warkes Army Walk the Wirral

Join Us for a Fundraising Walk 🚶‍♀️💙

We’re walking together! To support our friend in her fight against cancer and to help care for her beautiful new baby, we’re organizing a 20km walk around the Wirral. This is our chance to show that she’s not facing this battle alone — every step we take is a step of love, strength, and hope.

📍 Where: Start:Thurstation- Wirral Way. CH610HN

Finish- New Brighton. The Queens Royal

🗓 When: 18/10/2025, 0930 meet to start at 1000

👟 How to join: Bring your walking shoes, friends, and family — everyone is welcome! There will be check points along the route that are easily accessible so you can join/leave along the route to suit your own abilities and plans. Here you can also stop for refreshments. I have planned in 30-45 min stops to allow for this.

We encourage walkers to make a donation (big or small) through the fundraising page with a target amount of £500 GBP, and to share the link with others who might want to support. If you can’t attend in person, you can still walk in spirit by donating or sending your encouragement. Together, we can surround this brave mother and her little one with love and support.

1 Start: meet 0930, leave 1000. CH61 0HN Thurstaston on the Wirral way next to the main car park. → West Kirby Weatherspoon’s. Est arrival 1115. ~3.5–4 km ~1h 15m

2 West Kirby Weatherspoon’s. Leave 1145. → Green Lodge (Hoylake) Est arrival 1230 ~2 km ~40m

3 Green Lodge leave 1315→ Meols Parade – car park at the end of Bennett Lane, Est arrival 1415. ~3 km ~1h

4 Meols Parade leave 1445→ Leasowe Lighthouse Est arrival 1615 ~4–5 km ~1h 30m

5 Leasowe Lighthouse leave 1645→ Derby Pool Pub Est arrival 1745. TIME TO GLOW UP, add any lights/glow sticks/ florescent clothing to light the path to the end. ~3–4 km ~1h
