"your child has cancer"...words that no parents should ever hear. Sadly, on bleak day in October Sandra and Dave were delivered a blow that would change their lives forever. Just before her 4th birthday they were told their beautiful little girl Frankie has cancer of the bladder. Devastated, they embarked upon the journey of chemo, blood transfusions, frequent hospital stays and within weeks watched nurses shave off Frankie's hair because of how much it was falling out.

None of us appreciated how poorly Frankie would become so quickly and their lives are now dedicated to looking after their very sick little girl.

Frankie will have an operation to remove the tumor after Christmas and Sandra and Dave have been told that the next devastating stage is radiotherapy. They are facing two options, one is America for 3 months, the other is London for a month and that decision will be made by doctors over the next few weeks.

Whichever treatment is offered, they need to be together to support each other. Frankie needs her mummy, daddy and big brother Finlay by her side now more than ever. They are living a nightmare and Frankie is in pain and suffering every single day.

Sandra and Dave are the most genuine, generous, thoughtful and hard working couple. They are both self employed and are torn between being there for Frankie and earning money to keep a roof over their head. They are both proud people, too proud to ask, but I will ask on their behalf... they desperately need our help in their time of need.

If they go to America, which is looking likely, the NHS will hopefully cover the cost of treatment. But as a family they will have to pay for Finlay's flights, schooling, accommodation, food etc on top of all the bills at home so they have a home to come back to when Frankie is well.

Please dig deep and give what you can to help. They are going through the unimaginable and should not have to be worrying about finding the money to stay together.
