I'm going to run two half marathons this year, and maybe a couple of 10k races too - we'll see. I haven't done that much running for about five years and it's not something that comes easily or without effort to me!
I'm doing this to raise money to help my friend Ailsa. For those of you who don't know Ailsa, she's had a tough time in recent years. Having beaten breast cancer twice she has now been diagnosed for a third time. As well as this Ailsa has also recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Ailsa is having specialist treatment, not available in the UK, in Spain and the Netherlands. Obviously this all costs money so I want to do what I can to help.
Any amount you can donate would be so gratefully appreciated and help Ailsa on her road to recovery.
