Charlie is a childhood friend of ours and we want to support him in his undertaking of a brutal half marathon in the Falklands on our dad's birthday, 18 February 2024. It's a renowned, extremely windy, half marathon in the Falklands. Sure why would Charlie pick an easy one as a #iblamepaddy ????
What better way to see the Falklands, than to take part in the annual Cape Pembroke Half Marathon. It may be fairly flat terrain but it's on a mix of tarmac, gravel, sand and peat, running from Stanley to the Cape Pembroke lighthouse, and back again....and ....the brutal wind on the course doesn't play ball with the Irish "may the wind always be at your back"!!!!
