I'm raising £5000 to K-Otic Productions

We are raising money for K-Ottic Productions which is a charity which provides drama groups for adults with learning difficulties/autistic adults etc
Our son Fraser is 25 years old and severely autistic…
This story starts last May when we were abroad for a break with Fraser and had planned to do a bit of walking there between the tourist attractions however Fraser was not for walking mainly due to his weight. When we got home we decided we had to do something to help him and with him being autistic we had to decide a special exercise and diet plan. For the diet we simply changed his day to day eating and for the exercise he has walked every single day round Lanark Loch twice ( 2 miles) in all weathers rain, snow , and wind and he never missed a single day as well as not missing a single day walking ( he even did his walk on the day of the famous January storms)
As a result of his exercise and diet plan over the past 12 months Fraser has lost an incredible 8 stones and he’s looking absolutely fantastic and so much fitter and healthier
To thank everyone who has supported us and followed Fraser’s weight loss journey over the past year on social media, Fraser will be walking around the 1 mile approx Lanark Loch circular path 8 times to mark each stone he has lost over the past year . it’s only fitting that the event is held at Lanark Loch where it all began
We are encouraging friends, family, class mates, and anyone who knows the family to come along on the day and support us with the “Walk with Fraser” with the option there for folks to walk 1 circuit or as many as they like on the day
Fraser will be raising funds for his drama group K-Otic Productions - a charity which provides drama groups for adults with learning difficulties/autistic adults etc
K-Otic Productions classes are run with specially trained drama and dance teachers and everyone is encouraged to participate at their own level. Their main aims are to provide a safe space where people can be themselves, learn new skills, socialise and have fun!
They have 6 busy classes throughout North and South Lanarkshire which have become an essential part of the weekly routine for their members.
K-Otic has always run with a combination of grant funding, fundraising and class fees. It’s always been hard for K-Otic to obtain grant funding, and 13 years on, it’s becoming harder than ever and they can no longer rely on grants to support the group K-Otic raised their member fees last year hoping for more support from grants which have so far been unsuccessful.
We are hoping to raise money which helps to ensure K-Otic continue to build something meaningful and that the members enjoy the fun classes without financial worry.
