FREE Quran CD Project

Asalaamualikum wa rahmatullahi wabarakatuhu,

I hope you are in the best of health and imaan. As well as providing Quran speakers to hospitals through the Quran for Hospitals Project (www.quranforhospitals.co.uk), I have also been distributing Quran CDs for people to be able to listen to the Quran in their cars.

I started this distribution over 1 year ago and so far have distributed over 7000 Free Quran CDs. These CDs have been ordered by individuals across the UK and also from across the world (USA, Algeria, Morcocco, Belgium, France, Serbia, Brazil, Bangladesh, Pakistan and more countries).

The aim is to help people increase their connection with the Holy Qur'an and to cut out music inshaAllah. When we switch on our cars, I find that there is a temptation to listen to music or sometimes we just leave on the radio. By having a Qur'an CD in the car, the Qur'an plays as soon as the car switches on so it will help people to stay away from music and listen to the recitation of the Qur'an.

I have bought Quran CDs in the past online (through ebay), and they all tend to only have one reciter and they are quite costly. I have always wanted a CD that has many different reciters on there. So I have created a Quran CD with a combination of 23 different reciters.

The Qur'an CDs have the full Qur'an (114 Surahs) and 23 popular reciters. I have made it so that there is a different reciter after every 5 Surahs, these include the most popular reciters (including Sheikh Sudais, Sheikh Maher etc.)

The cost per CD is around 71p, so a donation of £10 will cover the cost of around 14 CDs. Just imagine how much reward you can accumulate through a small donation..

I am now down to my last 500 CDs and will require more funds to continue the distribution of the Quran CDs. Giving someone a Qur'an CD will be an act of Sadaqa e Jariya. This means that you will gain continuous reward for as long the recitation of the Qur'an is listened to through a Qur'an CD. Just imagine how much rewards you may reap as people play the Quran daily on their way to work etc (May Allah swt accept it from us).
