Spartan Survival and Green Trees Forest School are run by husband and wife team Mike and Kathryn Harrison. We are passionate about giving back to the community and are launching our FREE Emergency Services overnight bushcraft and survival events.

We are so thankful for those of you in the NHS and Emergency Services for the amazing work you do. You guys are amazing! This country is so blessed to have such hard working individuals, working through lunch breaks, passed their shift end time and going above and beyond.

We are offering 2 free Bushcraft events (max of 15 people per event.) These will include:

Shelter building, fire lighting methods, whittling a spoon, cooking over an open fire and much more...

One thing we know for sure, is being outside in nature is great for mental wellbeing.

This is a free event and our aim is to give you some much needed head space from the pressures of your working environment.

We have set up this JustGiving page to enable individuals/companies to give donations to our work.

What are these donations going towards I hear you ask?

2 main causes in mind... Spartan Survival is aiming to run a weekend Bushcraft course at the end of the summer- specifically for mental health sufferers and what better way to launch this than during #mentalhealthawareness week (14th-20th of May.) This will be a free to attend weekend to give 15 men and women a much needed break from life. Mike has a very personal Mental Health story- he suffers with PTSD following his tours in Afghanistan. Bushcraft has given Mike a focus and following him gaining his NCFE level 3 he has been able to give this gift to others.

Green Trees Forest School does a lot of schools work in and around the Wiltshire area. We would like to give back to less privileged schools that would benefit from Forest Schools. On a daily basis we are seeing children's confidence blossom, self esteem grow and social/communication skills develop. Forest Schools provide a nurturing outdoor environment, away from the classroom, that children thrive in.
