Story

In the early hours of Monday 14th August 2017, torrential rainfall caused heavy flooding and devastating landslides in part of the capital city Freetown of the West African country Sierra Leone. This disaster has caused massive destruction on many lives, whereby the death toll has been estimated over 300 and is still rapidly rising. Many have been buried underground and yet not been found and has displaced thousands rendering them homeless, cloth-less, and with absolutely nothing. Hunger and diseases is sure to strike them now.

The community affected by the disaster are mainly from the ghetto and slum areas of the city, who are mainly poor people that cannot provide food for themselves let alone food for their families. The country is ranked one of the poorest in the world.

Donations will go towards providing water, food, medical, clothing and temporary shelter for the displaced victims and survivors. Over 20,000 people have now been made homeless. Also, towards helping with funeral arrangements for the burial of the dead and mutilated bodies, both identified and unidentified.

Sierra Leone is close to my heart as my parents are from there. This devastating disaster that has affected these poor, innocent people is heart breaking. It is very disturbing seeing pictures and videos of the dead and mutilated bodies. The survivors and those who have lost their families need all the help they can get. These people have lost everything they have. The have nothing left. They need our help and support to start building their lives again.

Please share this to all your friends and family. Let us raise as much money as possible to help these people and help make a difference.

God bless and thank you for your support!

All donations made will be given to those affected in person. I, myself will be travelling to Freetown, Sierra Leone and making sure that the people affected by this disaster receive your donations. Please remember that every little helps and IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

I will make sure to keep you all updated with the progress being made on helping these victims as I am hoping to record and document this journey for you all to see how you have changed thousands of lives!
