Story

On August 14 2017 a dreadful flooding caused a landslide to hit Sierra Leone the main capital city of Freetown. It spread rapidly to other parts of Freetown killing more than Four Hundred And Thirty Nine (439) people including men, women, and children. It left many homes devastated. The Government declared a state of public emergency and everybody had to stay indoors.

Many women lost their husbands, many children lost both parents. The youth and young children were in disarray due to the loss of their parent/s, unable to attend school and lacking basic needs.

AIM

The aim of this project is to cater for those women and children who have lost their husband or parent and bring them together to build a new homes for them and involve them in Educational Activities, Skills and Training for example:- hair dressing, soap making, gara tie dying, and marketing. To enable them to use the money for their sales and to get the young children back to school and continue their academic activities. This will benefit the many women who lost their husbands and subsequently, their household income.

OBJECTIVES

I. To cater for three hundred and fifteen (315) household women and youths and for those children who have lost their parents and husbands from our communities.

II. To provide schools materials for the young children, a school going age.

III. To provide them with provisions, medicines, clothes and food.

IV. To help women to train and work.
