Story
A hillside in the Regent area collapsed early on Monday following heavy rains, leaving many houses covered in mud.
A BBC reporter at the scene said many people may have been asleep when the mudslide occurred.
The number of casualties is expected to rise. Locals were reportedly trying to recover bodies from the rubble and mud with their bare hands.
One of the main reason people are saying is the cause of the mudslide is poor infrastruture.
I am raising this money to help people in my community (Kamayama) which is one of the affected mudslide areas to buy tools to enable them to put up a structure in the community to prevent this from happening in the future.
I will like to be present when this work is being done, so this money will be used when I'm in freetown towards the of the year and not now.
I have always helped under privileged people in the local community whenever I visit Sierra Leone.
But with this big situation in hand, we all need to come together to help these individuals.
