My nine-year-old son, Will, and his friends Pip and George have come up with an incredible idea to raise funds for Freya. They’ve decided to take on a relay triathlon at Oswestry School on the afternoon of Sunday 29 June to support her. Each of them will be tackling a different leg of the challenge: George will swim an impressive 2 km, Pip will cycle 21 km and Will will run 5 km. Any donations and support on the day would be hugely appreciated!

Support Freya's Fight Against Brain Cancer:

I’ve set up this page in support of my incredible nine-year-old niece, Freya. Freya is a bright, funny, and a compassionate young girl—daughter, niece, sister, friend—and was a budding gymnast with a love for life.

In January 2025, Freya was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. It’s the kind of news no one should ever have to hear about a child they love, and while there is currently no cure, we are holding onto hope that more time will bring us closer to one.

Despite the overwhelming challenges she’s faced, Freya has shown extraordinary strength and courage. She’s already endured multiple hospital stays, surgeries, ICU treatment, and intensive radiotherapy. The cancer has robbed her of the ability to walk, but her spirit remains unbroken. Every day, Freya works hard to regain her strength, all while continuing to smile and light up the lives of everyone around her. She is determined to play with her friends again, and to someday return to her gymnastics, where she once excelled.
