I've raised £12000 to cover costs for prosthetics & adaptations as Freya gets older

Freya is our youngest daughter, shes 18 months old. My pregnancy with Freya was perfect no worries the only extra check ups i had to have was because she was in a breech posistion.
When Freya was born it was quite clear that things were not all how they were meant to be but no doctor had the answer. We did our own research but when she was 3 weeks old we saw a specialist and although he had never seen the condition before confimed to us that she had Bilateral Tibial Hemimelia. It is a very rare condition affecting 1 in 3000000. This is when the tibia bone (shin bone) has either not formed or formed Incorrectly, in Freya’s case its not formed at all and it appears no knee joint has formed.
She now has had her surgeries one beig a PDA heart closure and a double through the knee amputation. NHS Wales at present do not fund sports blades I know there are varies organisations looking into getting this changed. We want Freya to lead a compleley normal life and do anything any other child would do.
We are fundraising as prosthetics do not come cheap and we never want to be in a posistion that due to money she is not able to do something. We have a very long hard journey ahead as a family and have noticed the lack of support there for families in our area going through situations like ours & in the future would love to change this and its something that we will look at fundraising for in the future.
Thank you to all our family, friends and complete strangers to our family for your support so far it really does mean the world to us 💖
