This page has been set up with the aim of raising donations for Friendly Faces a local community group for the elderly to meet and make new friends that may otherwise be socially isolated.We currently run the group one afternoon a week for 2 hours which just isn't enough.My aim is to open Friendly Faces day centre and be open Mon-Friday giving more opportunity to get out and socialise for those in need.This is something that is very much needed in the local community with so many places closing down in our local area there are fewer places for people to go too.
So many of our elderly are lonely and isolated and having a day centre would make a huge impact on the health and well being of people that have no friends or relatives around them and need this much needed service.
Having the funds behind Friendly Faces will help me to make this a reality.
Any donations are very mich appreciated and get the group one step closer to becoming a day centre our elderly community can massively benefit from.
