Weʼre raising £60,000 to Create a new - Community Centre in the Village

Upper Denby, United Kingdom

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

We are raising funds to develop the St Johns Church to create :-

DENBY COMMUNITY CENTRE as well as a place of Worship.

We want to create a community hub where activities can take place which is affordable and accessible to everyone both inside and outside of the village.

A venue with endless possibilities for its use, Parties, Fairs, Concerts, Meeting places for clubs, Exercise Classes, Evening classes, Band rehearsals etc etc..

Plans have now been drawn by an architect which will involve the removal of the pews, The creation of a new kitchen and much improved catering facilities as well as totally redesigning the toliet facilites , improving the lighting and the much needed upgrade of the water supply.

The church is really a fantastic asset to the village and is currently very much under utilised.

By all joining together and supporting this project means we can build our community and bring people together in the village, supporting each other in the things we do..
