Story
This condolence page has been created in support of a wonderful, local family who are currently experiencing the worst imaginable emotional burden at a very difficult time of year.
The Cope family are known to many residents within our local area and are highly valued members of the Rhiwderin and Bassaleg community. Sadly, following a short and acute illness, the Cope family’s youngest member Dylan, has passed away. Dylan was yet to reach his tenth birthday. He passed away just 11 days before Christmas, leaving his parents and two older siblings with not only the challenge of coming to terms with their loss, but doing so at a time of year which all families recognise as one to spend with those to whom they hold most dear.
The loss of a wonderful little boy from our community is clearly felt by many; so many members of the community have expressed their pain and sorrow at the news of Dylan’s passing. Dylan was dearly loved by his classmates and teachers at the local primary school. He was a unique, clever, funny, sensitive and loving little boy with a bright future ahead of him. The shock of his passing has affected many members of the community but no one more so than his wonderful, loving parents and siblings. Friends of Dylan’s family are inundated with requests to offer condolence to the family, and requests for suggestions of how to help. Whilst we recognise, and appreciate, the outpouring of love and support that we are receiving on a daily basis for Dylan’s family, we thought it best to provide a space for others to offer condolence personally (or anonymously). Subsequently, close friends have set up this Just Giving page with the premise of allowing community members a space to offer words of comfort to Dylan’s family.
You can offer your condolences to the family below; we are sure that your words will offer them comfort at this difficult time. As the majority of the family income is raised via self-employment, offers of financial donations would also be welcome, so that the family can take the time that they need to grieve the loss of their wonderful son and brother.
Sincere and heartfelt best wishes to all for reading and offering care and support,
Friends of Dylan.
