    Story

Few of us could have imagined what this year would bring as we waved our children off at the start of the year to join their classes at Halfmoon Montessori Nursery. The impact of Coronavirus on every family has been huge in many different ways. You may have read in the press that the impact of the virus has been particularly acute for the Early Years sector and that includes our beloved Halfmoon Montessori. As many of you will know the team at Halfmoon have faced unexpected costs: adapting the nursery to make it safe including buying new equipment combined with a drop in income during the lockdown. They have done all of this and still welcomed our children each day since they reopened, with a smile and a kind word.

Anyone who has sent their children to the nursery, now or in the past, will know what fantastic start it offers children and what an important part of our community it is. Lots of local families have asked how they can support Halfmoon Montessori at this difficult time. As a result, a group of parents, the Friends of Halfmoon Montessori, have created this page on JustGiving. Please do donate what you can. It would be a wonderful way to show Aisling and her team what they mean to us. All of the proceeds from the page will go directly to the nursery to help them combat the fallout from the virus and help them to continue their amazing work.

Please support this appeal by giving, if you can, and by sharing and promoting it within our community.

We’re late to donate, but we’ve been thinking of you all. We cherish our memories of Henrietta and Wilfred’s time with you, and want to think of other little ones being lucky enough to enjoy the same.
