I've raised £1000 to make improvements to New Road Park.

New Road Park has a rich history of community use from a pig farm in the 1920's, a World War II GI encampment, a children's playground, to it's current mixed community use. This includes an assembly area for Lordship Lane School, a meet-up for local dog walkers and a play area for local families. At present the park feels a little unloved so Friends of New Road Park have formed and would like to inject some care and attention back into the park. The park is also well used as a cut-through so a necessary new feature would be to create a safe pathway between the entrance on Norman Road and New Road. Further natural features would be suitable dog friendly planting along the edges, create some raised plant beds and perhaps install some small trees. This is just the beginning of what we would like to create.
