Story

The Michael Tippett School caters for students aged from 11 up to 19 years old. We specialise in providing education for students who have profound, severe and complex additional needs.

We are working hard to improve our students physical and mental well-being, so that they best engage in the curriculum and achieve their potential.

A sensory garden is an environment that is designed with the purpose of stimulating sight, smell, touch, taste, and sound through the use of a variety of plants and materials that engage the senses.

These types of gardens are especially beneficial to students who have sensory processing difficulties, including autism and other
disabilities.

Building our own garden is a big project but we think it is well worth it. However, we need your help to achieve this goal...

We will have our Friends of TMTS Summer Fair on 30th June, 11am-3pm at The Michael Tippett School, Heron Road, SE24 0HZ.

Entry fee is £0.50 and it will be money well spent as there will be:
Culture Café with delicious food from around the world
Car wash
Table-top sale
Children's entertainer
An amazing line-up of live music & performances
Competitions
Kid's corner & bouncy castle
