On November 11th 2016, my uncle and his charity will be traveling to AKOSOMBO, Ghana to continue/complete a building project for a new Orphanage and Nursery.

During my last trip to Ghana I witness heartbreaking scenes with children as young as three roaming the same streets they sleep at night. These children face a reality that no child should have to witness. With no real access to clean water, food and safe place to sleep these children are latterly left to fend for themselves.

Every year Wood World Missions travel to different countries in Africa to help alleviate the conditions of people in hardship, the elderly, widowed, orphaned and the sick.

The funds I will raise will go towards the completion of the AKOSOMBO orphanage and nursary student dorm building. We plan to build proper toilets & bathrooms, a kitchen and a school office with access to clean drinking water. Concurrently we aim to further facilitate income generating projects for older students for long term sustainability of the school and its community to work themselves out of poverty.

In Malawi WWM currently provides free nursery education for 250 orphans with similar initiatives in Congo, Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia. This has had a massive impact on the lives of the children there. It has given them a safe place to live along with an opportunity to access education, gain new skills and given them hope for a better future.
