The Girls and Boys of Fry Club JFC are taking on the Somerdale Park Run course on Saturday 18th April, completing either the 2.5k or 5k route depending on age and confidence. Fry Club JFC are a local Club in Keynsham who provide football for boys and girls in the local community, from Tots through to U18. We are aiming to raise money for our local Children's Hospice and at the same time raise money for our own Football Club where we strive to keep costs to a minimum in an effort to allow as many children to participate in sport as possible. Sport is not cheap, with costs for training, playing and equipment, but also the hidden costs such as the FA requirements for Coaches to be regularly trained and police checked; all valid requirements, but all which cost, and so this sponsored run is our Club's way of raising money for our local Hospice, a charity close to our hearts, but to also raise the money needed to help provide our boys and girls that safe space to play football in a fun environment, without passing those costs on to them.
