Story
Whilst on holiday in greece we try to do our bit every year and make sure we feed as many stray cats as possible. This year while walking past our hotel, we found Fudge.
She was living in the flood drains in greece, she was matted, malnourished and her fur full of debris, but despite this she was the most loving and gentle cat.
Over the two weeks we took her food and water but she was quite content with just having affection! Nearing the end of our holiday myself and my Husband had many discussions about how we could get Fudge help before we leave.
We decided the best help we could give would be a home with us in the UK. Not knowing how we could go about getting her home we put a desperate plee on facebook and thankfully some very kind people answered and was able to advise us on this journey. The process first involved us taking her to a local vet to get vaccinated, spayed and blood tests completed. Additionally we had to visit the state vet to apply for a pet passport. She will now spend the next month in the care of the vets quarantining before being driven 36 hours back to the UK on the 26th july where she will then join her forever home with us.
As you can imagine the process is not cheap and although we are willing to cover the costs any help we receive to get her to the UK would be greatly appeciated. With vet costs, boarding and the transport we are looking around £1000 to get her home. Any addional money raised will be donated to feeding and helping strays in zante which are in desperate need of support.
