Iʼve raised £30 to give a lovely family a much needed holiday before two of the children aged just 7 and 9 undergo chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant!

    Story

    FUN BEFORE CHEMO!!

I came across a lovely family recently on my Facebook Support Group - Ben's Support Group for Adults and Parents of Children with Autism or SEN -
    https://www.facebook.com/groups/BensSEN/

It was a heartbreaking story and after reading it I couldn't get them out of my head. Ben's group was primarily set up to support adults/children with SEN but I knew I had to do something to help them as a family!

As a group we want to raise some money to treat the family to a holiday/short break and hopefully put some smiles on the children's faces!

The mum has recently battled cancer and thankfully made a complete recovery!

But two of her three beautiful children have a life threatening and life limiting condition called CGD - Chronic Gramuilouis Disease and are about to embark on a gruelling journey of chemotherapy before they have bone marrow transplants.

These children are only 7 and 9!!!

They both have a long, painful and upsetting journey ahead of them! Their mum is trying to prepare them for the road ahead as best she can but it's hard when they are both so young!

The youngest child, aged 7, starts his chemo after Christmas and then will have his transplant shortly after.

The eldest, aged 9, can't begin her treatment until her brother recovers.

The family have to go through this twice!!!!!!

They both will need around 11 weeks in hospital each after their treatment.

They have an appointment on the 19th September, just Mum and Dad, to go through everything and sign all the papers for treatment to begin.

The youngest child who is 2 has been tested and thankfully has been given the all clear for the moment. He will be tested again in 2 years!

Can we help put a smile on these children's faces and give them a much needed break away??

Any donation however big or small would mean the world to this family and would be greatly appreciated!

If you can't donate could I ask you to share far and wide please!!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
