I've raised £1050 to fund Christmas Holiday Scheme Places for children in need.

Having kept our childcare settings open in order to provided childcare throughout the pandemic, it saddens us greatly to think that we have children going hungry as well as many more children at risk.
Having had some time to talk with our parents as well as research the situation, we would like to set up this page in order to raise funds for children to attend our holiday schemes.
Regarding FSM’s, the childen attending school will continue to receive these, but the school holidays are a major concern, not just children going hungry, but children remaining safe too.
This page has been set up to raise funds for children to attend our Christmas holiday clubs in Saffron Walden, Newport, Halstead and Colchester. For every £17.50 we raise, we will match it with a further £17.50, this will open up two funded places in our Christmas holiday scheme. During the fundraising we will liaise with local primary schools to inform them of the places we have in order for them to offer them out to children in need or any children they think may benefit from a safe environment during the holidays.
By raising £1,050 we will be able to offer 120 holiday club places at our Christmas Holiday club which will open on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th December 2020. The children can then join us anytime beween 0800 and 1800 for fun packed days full of actitivities.
If this is a success we will happily roll it out again for all holiday schemes as the knock on effect won’t just be about keeping the children safe, it will be allowing parents the freedom to find work if they have lost their jobs and help break the cycle the pandemic has left us in.
